Serigraph Wins Printing Awards
Serigraph Wins Best in Category Awards in Statewide Print Competition
(West Bend, WI – May 6, 2010) Serigraph Inc. is pleased to announce they have received awards for outstanding achievement in two categories; Special Innovation and Large Format Printing in the 10th Annual Graphics Excellence Awards, a statewide competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin.
The Graphics Excellence Awards recognizes commercial printers who are leading the industry in both existing and emerging print technologies. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media. Competing against nearly 800 entries from printing and graphic arts firms in the state of Wisconsin, Serigraph’s Specialty Graphics Group received Best in Category Awards for both Special Innovation and Large Format Printing.
“We are very proud of our winning team. These awards reflect our employees’ commitment to deliver the most innovative printing technologies possible,” said Mike Palm, chief operations officer of Serigraph’s Specialty Graphics Group. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality, award winning point of purchase materials.”
The Special Innovation award recognizes promotional materials that were produced using a new, expanded, unique or innovative mix of existing technologies. Serigraph’s winning entry was produced using several unique decorating technologies including Serigraph’s patented process, “Nanomotion” along with their proprietary technologies “Reflex” and “Liquid Ink”. These decorating technologies enhance the image and draw eyes to the marketed product.
In the Large Format Printing category, Serigraph’s winning entry utilized their patented "Promotion™" process. This process draws attention by allowing selected areas of a graphic to be viewed as three-dimensional or floating. Through the use of a printed optical lens, a snowflake pattern in the background was magnified and enhanced a skier competing in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.
