Serigraph Wins Awards at Statewide Competition
(West Bend, Wisconsin - March 21, 2011) – Serigraph Inc. is pleased to announce it has received graphics excellence awards for outstanding achievement in four categories - Special Innovation, Specialty Printing, Graphics Arts Self Promotion, and Lenticular Printing in the 11th Annual Graphics Excellence Awards, a statewide competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin.
The Graphics Excellence Awards recognize commercial printers who are leading the industry in both existing and emerging print technologies. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media. Competing against printing and graphic arts firms in the state of Wisconsin, Serigraph’s Specialty Graphics Group received Best in Category Awards for Special Innovation, Specialty Printing, and Lenticular Printing,. Serigraph also received a Best of Division Award for Graphics Arts Self Promotion.

The Special Innovation award recognizes promotional materials that were produced using a new, expanded, unique or innovative mix of existing technologies. Serigraph’s winning entry was produced using several unique decorating technologies, including Serigraph’s patented process, “Nanomotion,” along with its proprietary technologies “Reflex” and “Liquid Ink”. In the Specialty Printing category, Serigraph’s winning entry utilized its patented “Micromotion” and proprietary “Reflex” processes. These decorating technologies enhance the image and draw eyes to the marketed product.
In the Lenticular Printing category, Serigraph’s winning entry utilized its patent pending “Aveta” process. The “Aveta” process expands upon traditional Lenticular printing to give clarity and emphasis on the primary message in the advertisement. By applying an optically clear coating to select portions of the poster, “Aveta” allows for dramatic 3D effects or motion while maintaining the integrity of the image and copy.
Serigraph’s award in the Graphics Arts Self Promotion category recognized two posters utilizing the same artwork but produced using two different technologies. Designed to demonstrate different effects that can be achieved using separate technologies, the sample kit utilized Serigraph’s “Micromotion” and “Reflex” processes. The “Micromotion” process drew eyes through the use of differing line widths and angles surrounding the product, while the “Reflex” process enhanced the graphics by creating definition, contrast and illusion on depth.
