Serigraph Wins Design of the Times Awards
Serigraph Wins Design of the Times Awards
(West Bend, WI – October 11, 2010) – Serigraph Inc. received multiple awards for outstanding achievement in the Annual Design of the Times Awards, a leading awards competition sponsored by the In-Store Marketing Institute. The Design of the Times Awards Competition recognizes the best in-store merchandising campaigns, displays, packaging and promotions that show creativity and innovation in the marketplace.
Competing against hundreds of entries from consumer products manufacturers, POP design firms, advertising and promotion agencies and packaging design companies around the world, Serigraph received one Gold award, one Silver award and two Bronze awards in categories representing temporary graphics and signage in the Supermarket, Grocery, Liquor and C-store markets. This year, leading CPG manufacturers and retail executives judged the entries on their ability to command attention, connect with the shopper, convey information and close the sale.
Serigraph’s winning entries were produced using several unique decorating technologies including Serigraph’s patented processes “Micromotion” and “Premier Illusion” along with its proprietary technology “Reflex.” These decorating technologies enhance an image and draw eyes to the marketed product at the point of purchase.
“We are very proud of our winning team. These awards reflect our employees’ commitment to deliver the most innovative printing technologies possible,” said Mike Palm, chief operating officer of Serigraph’s Specialty Graphics Group. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality award winning point of purchase materials and product decoration.”
Serigraph’s Gold award winning entry was produced for Coca-Cola for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. This winning entry utilized Serigraph’s Reflex technology to command consumers’ attention in-store through the use of three-dimensionality and chrome material. The 3D Mini-Spectacular graphic rests atop cases of Coca-Cola products, enticing consumers to the area and driving the purchase.
Serigraph received a Silver award for its Red Diamond two-sided case card featuring Serigraph’s Micromotion and Premier Illusion technologies. The dynamic case card produced for St. Michelle Wine Estates uses 3D depth, definition and contrast of a raised texture to create the illusion of movement throughout the graphics and capture consumers’ attention in-store.
Serigraph Bronze award winning entries were produced using Serigraph’s patented Micromotion technology. This unique technology simulates micro embossing giving the depth of texture to the product graphics. As the consumer changes viewing angles, light reflected from the texture and material creates the illusion of movement, drawing attention to the product and driving sales in-store.
