Serigraph Receives In Mold Decorating Association Awards

In Mold Decorating Association Awards

Serigraph received the Best IMD Durable Product and Best Injection Molded Part awards in the In-Mold Decorating Association’s Fifth Annual Awards Competition which honors the industry's best in-mold labeled packaging and in-mold decorated durable products. The 2011 winning entries were chosen by a panel of judges based on creativity in design, engineering and innovation from a field of 28 entries.

Serigraph’s Washer/Dryer Control Panel won the Best IMD Durable Product Award. Durability, functionality and versatility come together in this attractive, user-friendly control panel. Chemical-resistant polyester film was second surface printed and encapsulated using IMD for a robust construction that meets tough appliance industry performance standards. The 85 degree bend across the top of the panel was created in the molding process, eliminating the added cost of a secondary forming operation. Interchangeable buttons in the mold tool enabled multiple button/feature set combinations for a variety of colored panels so an entire product line runs in one injection mold tool.

Serigraph’s Laundry Control Panel won the Best Injection Molded Part Award. This Laundry Control Panel has many outstanding features including precision printing, selective use of chrome, an in-mold formed badge and in-mold embossed buttons capable of actuating over 100,000 times without failure.  It is used on three different washer and dryer platforms, each with a unique design. The versatility of the IMD process delivered individual button geometries, perimeter shape, graphics and accents to differentiate one product line from another.

Serigraph wins 2011 SGIA Sustainability Award

Serigraph has received the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) 2011 Sustainability Recognition Award. According to SGIA, sustainability is more than just going green. Sustainability looks at the people, the profit and the planet and the companies who have made changes today that will have an enormous impact on the community in the future. To be eligible for the award, companies had to first submit a copy of their sustainability policy. The winners had policies that focused on reducing waste, creating recycling programs and forming a “green committee” in the workplace.

Wisconsin 75 Sustainability Award

The 2010 Wisconsin 75 listed Serigraph as one of the state’s top privately held companies. This year however, we have also been recognized with a Distinguished Performer Award for Sustainability, specifically for our exceptional environmental practices. This annual award recognizes “green” companies that balance economic growth, social equity and environmental management.

Wisconsin companies are named to the Wisconsin 75 list simply for being large.  In contract, the Distinguished Performers are selected based upon how each company actually goes about its business.  The competition is tough.  This is a great honor for all of us at Serigraph.
